A meeting of a Ministerial Task Team and National House of Traditional Leaders has resolved that the traditional land would not be affected by the proposed amendment of Section 25 of the Constitution.

“Ek is in die proses om ‘n huis koop. Die koopkontrak is onderworpe aan die voorwaarde dat ek binne 30 dae ‘n huislening kry. My tyd raak nou min, maar ek is baie naby daaraan om die finansiering deur my bank goedgekeur te kry. Ek het net ‘n paar ekstra dae nodig. Is dit moontlik om die 30-dae periode te verleng, en indien wel, teen wanneer moet dit gedoen word? Ek wil regtig nie hierdie huis verloor nie!”

“I’m trying to buy a house. The purchase agreement is subject to the condition that I obtain a mortgage bond within 30 days. My time is running out but I’m close to getting the financing approved from my bank. I just need a few more days. Is it possible to extend the 30 day period and if so by when must this be done? I really don’t want to lose this house!”
